We are really excited to announce that we are STILL Waikato’s only Diamond Enviro-Mark certified printer! On November 30th, 2011 we were independently audited and were again certified as achieving Enviro-Mark Diamond level.

It is a huge milestone for us to be awarded this certification for a second year in a row.  We have been working really hard throughout the year to improve our environmental performance and it is great to have this recognised through our successful audit.

Our auditor stated “The Fusion Print Environmental Management System is now part of day to day operations of the company and is one of the best examples of the application and participation in an EMS that the auditor has had an opportunity to consider”.

Some of our environmental achievements this year include the installation of a new digital printer to improve efficiency in the digital area, allowing more jobs to be completed with less energy use, a significant reduction in chemicals used for our plate making process and a tree planting day where we planted 500 native trees at Waiwhakareke Natural Heritage Park.

We have also exceeded our water reduction target, with a 10% reduction of water used in the 12 months September 2010 to August 2011, per staff hour worked, from the preceding six months.
